were received from Couns. Jim Goodman (holiday), Alex McKee
(personal matters) and Bryan Baines (holiday).
206/7] DECLARATIONS
OF INTEREST
There were none.
207/7] MINUTES FROM PREVIOUS MEETING
held on May 9, 2007 were
approved and signed by the chairman after Coun. Hackett had raised the following
items he felt should be recorded:
Item 200/7: In respect of planning
applications received by the council, the chairman would continue to receive
all of them. Couns. Baines, Butler and
Sheriston would deal with applications on the east side of the village and
Couns. Goodman, Hackett and McKee on the west side.
Item 201/7: The council had decided not to appoint a member
to act as the interface with the Keyworth Police Beat Manager.
The clerk was to investigate the position concerning the
progress on the Small Environment Scheme for the junction of Browns Lane and
Thurlby Lane.
The clerk was to pursue the matter of whether Coun. Mrs Healy
as chairman of the council could be a trustee of the Thomas Ousley Charity
Trust.
Item 203/7: It was confirmed that meetings of the council
would be held on September 12 and November 14.
208/7] CLERK’S REPORT
The latest issue of the council Newsletter was available.
Coun. Hackett offered to take the supply normally taken by Coun. Goodman who was
on holiday.
209/7] CORRESPONDENCE
It was agreed to support the aims of the Nottinghamshire
Police Authority and Nottinghamshire Police in the launch of their ‘Policing
for You’ scheme and to take them up on their offer to attend a meeting to
discuss the matter further. It was acknowledged that it may be that the council
would need to link with another council in order the police visit covered an
acceptable number of councillors, and it was suggested Keyworth would be the
appropriate neighbour. The Clerk had circulated a Memo from the Bingham Area
Commander Insp Glenn Harper in which he sought support from the council to be a
contact point for his officers as far as Stanton on the Wolds went. This was
agreed.
Two emailed letters from Mrs Sandra Ford were discussed and
it was agreed the clerk respond by saying the council were totally satisfied
that the village map being used on the council website had been produced by
Alan and Val Hunt and there was no reason why it should not appear there.
210/7] PLANNING
MATTERS
Planning
Applications
07/00958/FUL Erect
dwelling (following demolition of existing); 143 Browns Lane. Object.
It was felt the size of the proposed new dwelling was not
in keeping with other residential properties on Browns Lane and as shown the
new dwelling would not be on the footprint of the housing recently demolished.
The parish council were not satisfied the increase in size of the property as
planned was within the permitted scope. The new property would have windows
overlooking neighbouring properties and the glass wall to the rear would affect
the privacy of neighbours. The height of the proposed building would also block
natural light and sun to a neighbouring property.
07/00991/OUT Erection
of agricultural dwelling house; OS Field 6445, Browns Lane. To be circulated.
07/01005/FUL Single storey side extension; 4 Charleswood
Court, Thurlby Lane. To be circulated.
07/01044/FUL Erect two blocks of stables for use by up to
3 horses, boundary fencing and access to site; Land South West of Thurlby Lane. To be circulated.
