Also present: The Clerk Mrs E.Sturt. Minutes: The minutes of the January meeting were read, approved and signed by the chairman. Matters arising: It was agreed that accounts such as the electricity account coming in between meetings may be payed by the Clerk. Training college: The contract for this had been adjourned and not cancelled as stated in the previous minutes. Mr Kirk relinguished to Mr Morley Vice Chairman. It was agreed that the October (1962) ruling should stand and Mr Baker be requested to act as our representative in this matter; the date of appeal 20th March 1963. Mr Kirk resumed the Chair. Rating assessment: It was not possible to have the list assessments made public in Stanton. Rate assessments being taken from the census of approximately 18 months ago. Pavement surrounding manhole: The County surveyor stated that this matter has been attended to. The Clerk to check when the snow has finally cleared. Rabbits on the golf course: A further enquiry to be sent to the Pest Officer. Mr Wemys has been shooting in the early morning, a few of the offending animals. Dyke in front of Mrs Dafts: A further letter has been sent to Mr Bexon. The Clerk was requested to bring the plans of water levels of Browns Lane to the next meeting. Newsletter: Any member wishing to attend the 7th National Conference in October 1963 ? Any other business: Mr Bradshaw was requested to check that there was no rut in front of his gate as a parishioner had complained to Mr Kirk about this matter. Thomas Housley Charity: The balance sheets had been received but a list of recipients had not been submitted. Major Smith to be contacted by Mr Kirk regarding this matter. It was proposed by Mr Morley, seconded by Mr Butler that the Clerk write and thank the Notts. County Council for keeping the roads clear during the past two months of bad weather. The next meeting to be held in the Golf Club House on Friday April 5th 1963 at 8pm..
