The planning decisions for the village
since 2004 are listed below. Please note that minor applications under various
Building Regulations for items such as replacement doors and windows, cavity
wall insulation, new ring mains and gas boilers are NOT listed here but may be
viewed along with the actual regulations on the Rushcliffe Borough Council web
site; see below.
A link is also provided to interrogate all
planning applications as listed on the Borough of Rushcliffe website:_

Page" click on "Planning & Building" in the
left margin. If you know the application reference you can simply enter this in
the "Application search" box. Alternatively click
on "Go to search address" and chose Stanton on the
Wolds from the drop down menu listing all the villages in Rushcliffe. Either way
you have to click on "Agree to accept the copyright notice
and disclaimer" before the details are downloaded. An "Advanced
search" box is also available where you can enter and search via other
details such as address.
The broad aim of the Parish Council in
terms of planning is to keep Stanton-on-the-Wolds a pleasant place to live
avoiding inappropriate development. The Parish Council is asked by Rushcliffe
Borough Council to comment on every planning application within the Parish
boundary. Applications can be for new build, extensions, revised access and
footpath diversions. It is important to stress that the Parish Council is only
advisory to Rushcliffe Borough Council the final decision on each application
rests with the relevant planning authority within the Borough Council.
When the Parish Council’s
comments on an application are submitted to the Borough Council they take note
of the input while also applying planning rules that are in force at the time.
When considering planning
applications, the Parish Council takes into account the following:
A Planning Committee has been appointed by
the Parish Council to consider applications. Notification of the date, time and
place of meetings will be displayed on the Village Notice Boards. Members of the
public are welcome to attend. Minutes of the Stanton on
the Wolds Planning Committee are listed below. The Borough Councillor for the Wolds ward, Councillor Fiona
Mason, is also consulted for her opinion on each planning application for
Stanton on the Wolds. She can be contacted on 937 4024 or by Email on
Over the past twelve months, the
Parish Council has dealt with around 30 planning applications. On occasions the
Borough Council has approved an application contrary to advice from the Parish
